FAQ · Partner Program

Everything you need before joining the CRSTBL Partner Program.

Answers to common questions about becoming a partner, earning commissions, tracking referrals, and helping businesses adopt conversational AI. See the Partner Commission Schedule for the authoritative terms.

Program basics

Who the Partner Program is for and how it works at a high level.

Who can become a CRSTBL Partner?

The Partner Program is open to businesses and professionals who regularly work with organizations that could benefit from conversational AI. Typical partners include:

  • Website designers and developers
  • Digital marketing agencies
  • SEO and AEO consultants
  • Restaurant marketing and POS specialists
  • IT consultants and systems integrators
  • AI implementation consultants

If your clients operate websites and want stronger customer engagement, CRSTBL is likely a fit.

Is there a cost to join?

No. Joining the Partner Program is free. There are no membership fees, no annual dues, and no minimum activity requirements to remain enrolled.

How does the Partner Program work?

You apply, get approved, receive a unique referral tracking link, and refer businesses that could benefit from CRSTBL. When a referred customer converts to a paid subscription, you earn a recurring commission on that customer’s revenue for a set period (24 months as a Standard Partner; 36 months as a Strategic Partner).

CRSTBL handles onboarding, deployment, and customer success. Your role is introducing the right prospects and, optionally, being present during demos and scoping conversations.

Do I need technical knowledge to be a partner?

No. Most partners focus on identifying prospects and making introductions. The CRSTBL team handles demos, onboarding, deployment, and technical support.

Technical experience helps — especially for developers and agencies with implementation-heavy client relationships — but it’s not required.

Commissions & compensation

How partners earn, how much, and when they get paid. Grounded in the current Partner Commission Schedule.

How do partners earn commissions?

Two commission models depending on the product tier:

  • CRSTBL Local referrals earn recurring commission on the customer’s monthly subscription for the full commission duration of your partner tier (24 months as a Standard Partner, 36 months as a Strategic Partner).
  • CRSTBL Enterprise referrals earn a one-time finder’s fee paid after the referred customer’s first license payment is received.

You’re paid once the customer converts and their payment is collected, regardless of tier.

What is the commission rate?

For CRSTBL Local: 25% of Net Subscription Revenue — the same rate for Standard and Strategic Partners. The difference between tiers is duration (24 vs 36 months), not rate.

For CRSTBL Enterprise: a one-time finder’s fee of $500 to $1,000 per referral, scaled to the final deal size.

Which plans qualify for commissions?

Both current plans qualify, with different commission structures:

  • CRSTBL Local ($120/month per location) — recurring monthly commission at 25% of Net Subscription Revenue.
  • CRSTBL Enterprise (from $1,000/month platform fee) — one-time finder’s fee paid after the customer’s first license payment.
How much can I earn per referral?

CRSTBL Local — recurring 25% of Net Subscription Revenue:

ReferralMonthly commissionTotal over 24 mo (Standard)Total over 36 mo (Strategic)
1 location ($120/mo) $30 $720 $1,080
3 locations ($360/mo) $90 $2,160 $3,240

CRSTBL Enterprise — one-time finder’s fee: $500 to $1,000 per referral, scaled to the final deal size. Paid after the referred customer’s first license payment is received.

Are there Strategic Partner tiers?

Yes. All approved partners start as Standard Partners (24-month commission duration). CRSTBL may grant Strategic Partner status at its discretion, based on referral activity, customer quality, strategic relationships, or market influence.

Strategic Partner benefits include a 36-month commission duration (12 months longer than Standard) and the possibility of alternative commission structures negotiated case by case.

What is “Net Subscription Revenue”?

Net Subscription Revenue is the revenue actually collected by CRSTBL from a referred customer, after deducting:

  • Discounts and promotional credits
  • Coupon codes
  • Refunds and chargebacks
  • Sales taxes and government fees
  • Payment processing fees
  • Other account adjustments

Commission is calculated on the net amount, not gross list price.

When are commissions paid?

Timing depends on the commission model:

  • Local recurring commission: paid within 30 days after CRSTBL receives the customer’s monthly subscription payment.
  • Enterprise finder’s fee: paid after CRSTBL receives the customer’s first license payment — typically within 60 days of the initial contract signing.

The minimum payout threshold is $50.00 USD — recurring balances below the threshold roll forward until they exceed it.

Will my clients receive a discount?

Partners may receive approved promotional codes or referral offers to share with eligible new customers when available. Any customer discount should be presented according to the current partner terms.

Attribution & tracking

How referrals are tracked and attributed to the referring partner.

How are referrals tracked?

Approved partners receive a unique referral link. When a prospect uses that link and subsequently converts to a paid customer, the referral is attributed to the referring partner.

For larger opportunities where direct sales involvement is needed, CRSTBL may also use approved promotional codes or internal tracking procedures.

What is the attribution window?

90 days from the initial qualifying referral interaction. If the referred prospect converts to a paid customer within that 90-day window, the referral is attributed to you and the commission clock starts on their first paid subscription date.

What happens if the same client is referred by two partners?

Attribution is based on the referral tracking method (referral link or approved code) that was recorded first within the applicable 90-day window. If two partners refer the same prospect, the earlier tracked referral takes precedence.

For strategic or enterprise-level opportunities involving direct CRSTBL sales involvement, attribution can also be governed by written agreement to reflect the partner’s actual contribution.

Can I refer clients I’m already working with?

Yes, provided the client is not already an existing CRSTBL customer. The Partner Program is designed to work well for agencies and consultants introducing CRSTBL to their existing client relationships.

Selling & support

What CRSTBL provides to help partners represent the platform and close deals.

Does CRSTBL provide sales support?

Yes. CRSTBL provides sales materials, product information, demonstrations, and technical support to help partners explain the platform to prospective customers. For larger opportunities, CRSTBL can participate directly in customer meetings.

Can I schedule demonstrations for my clients?

Yes. Partners can request personalized demonstrations tailored to a client’s business, industry, website, and use case. This is especially useful for restaurants, retailers, professional services, distributors, and multi-location organizations.

Does CRSTBL provide marketing materials?

Approved partners receive access to product information, brochures, demonstration resources, videos, and other materials designed to help explain CRSTBL to prospects. The partner resource set expands as the program grows.

Can partners use CRSTBL on their own website first?

Yes — and many partners do. Deploying CRSTBL on your own site gives you firsthand experience with the platform and creates a live demonstration you can show to prospects. It’s often the fastest way to become an effective seller.

Fit & scope

Which prospects are the best fit and how CRSTBL fits into agency and consulting work.

Which industries are the best fit?

Businesses where visitors often need help finding the right product, service, menu item, location, or answer. Common fits:

  • Restaurants and food service
  • Retail stores
  • Manufacturers and distributors
  • Professional service firms
  • Medical, dental, real estate
  • Multi-location and franchise operators
Can I refer enterprise customers?

Yes — enterprise referrals are strongly encouraged. Enterprise opportunities often involve larger deployments, multi-location analytics, character-driven avatars, and system integrations.

Enterprise referrals are compensated as a one-time finder’s fee rather than recurring commission (see the Commissions & compensation section for the payment timing). The CRSTBL team works directly with partners through the enterprise sales cycle.

Can partners work with customers outside the United States?

Yes. CRSTBL can support businesses internationally, subject to service availability, local regulations, language requirements, and the terms of the Partner Agreement.

Does CRSTBL replace client websites?

No. CRSTBL adds a conversational layer to existing websites without requiring a rebuild. That makes it a strong fit for developers, SEO/AEO consultants, and agencies who help clients improve their existing digital footprint.

How difficult is deployment for my clients?

CRSTBL Local deployments are straightforward — typically live in about a day. CRSTBL Enterprise deployments involve 4–8 weeks of structured onboarding to organize product catalogs, documentation, integrations, and multi-location workflows.

The CRSTBL team manages onboarding end-to-end. You’re not on the hook for implementation work.
